This is a quick review of internet information resources for saving money on energy bills that I recommend. There are a lot of blogs sites out there that are promoting energy savings for environmental reasons. But, there are not very many blogs that are focused on helping folks saving their money on utility bills.
My friend, Jan Pavis writes the Reduce Utility Bills blog. She writes about home energy saving topics from her own experience.
My biggest competition in on-line energy information use the Federal and State governments, major utility companies and a few large companies.
I recommend that your look up web sites for your local utility companies. Your electricity supplier may have valuable information about the way your electric bill is calculated.
The same thing goes for natural gas and water suppliers where you live.
Some state governments have web pages that provide useful information on how to save money on your energy bills.
Both the US Department of Energy and EPA have several sites that give good information for home use. I use their Energy Information Administration web site to research information for my day job.
The Energy Hog web site for children is a fun way to teach your children about saving energy.
Another one for children is the Energy Star for Kids page.
Here is the link to the best page of the EPA’s Energy Star sites for home energy savings.
