The Energy Boomer is celebrating its first full year of blogging. I started a year ago not knowing anything about blogs or how they work and now I feel that I have accomplished something useful.
It has cost very little money to get started, but it has replaced several hobbies by swallowing up all my free time.
There are now over 180 energy saving articles available with out charge for your reading pleasure.
There are over 100 RSS subscribers and there are over 130 of you wonderful folks receiving a weekly newsletter.
The record for one-day page views was 2,200 when my wife wrote the “Energy Lessons Learned from a Cat” article.
Yes, she beat my best record.
Energy Boomer has a Page Rank of 4 in a market where my competitors are huge.
When it comes to web sites that are publishing energy saving information that folks can use to save money I am competing with the U. S. Department of Energy, state government web sites and web sites for some large corporations like Owens Corning and major utility companies. Plus, there are some great blogs focused on the same topic.
Looking at the Year Ahead
I plan to write one or two articles a week on the blog, plus the newsletter.
I also intend to complete and sell a Special Report on Saving Money by Saving Energy During Air Conditioning Season.
Next will be a Special Report for Saving Money During the Heating Season.
Followed by a Do It Yourself Guide for Home energy Audits.
That is a lot considering I work full time on my Day Job.
Thank you all for your interest and support.
Your outstanding response keeps me going.
I love fan mail. I just wish that I had time to do a better job of interacting with all my readers.
I do appreciate all your emails and comments. I will respond to as many of them as I can.
Please share your ideas, energy saving success stories and ask questions. They make me think and that is why I am blogging.
