I need to buy some items this Saturday morning. That means that I either give up time working my blogging business this morning or miss part of my TV time watching favorite my football team this afternoon. Shopping would burn some expensive gasoline, a waste of energy, and a risk of bodily harm on the highway.
Online shopping to the rescue
Since Amazon is a good customer of my online business, I do most of my online shopping at their store. In just a few minutes, I ordered a new desk lamp. The old one that we use to grow African violets died and we need a replacement.
Yesterday when I refilled the printer, I noticed that I was running low on paper. So, I added printer paper to the order. Clicked the buy button and went back to work.
The most time was spent picking out the desk lamp, because my wife was looking over my shoulder advising me. In less than 7 minutes my shopping was done. Very little working time wasted and there still is some gasoline in my tank for tomorrow.
Amazon has an unexpectedly huge range of products available. Yes, we do by books for our grandkids from them, including ones that are now out of print, but they have other stuff too. The only items that I have found missing from their inventory are some liquids.
Yes, you can pay less shopping around but my time is much too valuable to waste and shopping around wastes energy.
